G. Emil Reutter

I recently saw G. Emil Reutter's poetry in Full of Crow's Quarterly Poetry here, a great poem called "Daybreak"--he has a great laid back tone, a type of relaxed Hemingway vibe. 

It's a poem that shows that simple, forward moving style Imagism can work if done well. Here's an excerpt:


Daybreak
It is a lifeless morning, a thick mist has settled in [...]
                           Hum of the fan gives rise to a [...]
There is a quiet that is gentle yet annoying. I yawn and
watch the coffee brew.
