Angifi Proctor Dladla

I want to highlight a great poem I read--"Springtime on the Road to Nabeep" by Angifi Proctor Dladla from South Africa, here at PoetryInternational. Here's more on Dladla.

This poem is incredible, as if Heaney had lived in South Africa. Dladla has real style, and great imagery. Here's an excerpt:

On the road to Nabeep I gasped and stopped
abruptly right in the moment – the keys
of the sun opening, without breaking,
the colours of Namaqualand. [...]
